When Voip providers came into the market, they offered services and features that the regular phone companies wouldn’t offer or will offer for an additional fee. One such service was free international calling plans that come bundled with some voip plans.

Some voip providers like Vonage offer free unlimited calls to a few countries outside of US and Canada with their regular unlimited calling plans. Some providers offer a slightly higher priced plans which would include unlimited calling in the US, Canada plus other countries.
