Having a voip phone service doesn’t only saves money, it also brings freedom to travel.  If you travel or move to a different place, you move with your phone. Your phone is available upon plugging the voip adapter to a high speed internet connection. You can travel out of the country and still have your phone number with you.

Some voip providers like Vonage, Voip.com, Skype¹ offer soft phone service. A soft phone is a piece software you download to your PC/Laptop and use it to make an receive calls from a computer. No need to carry your voip adapter with you while traveling, if your provider offers a soft phone and you are carrying your laptop, one less thing to carry.
