Turn your regular phone into a Skype phone

Skype calls from Regular Phone
To make Skype calls using your regular phone, all you need is a D-Link DPH-50U Skype USB Phone Adapter.

This adapter will let you use both your land line (if you have one) and Skype from the same phone.

Plug in the usb adapter to your pc/laptop’s usb port. The adapter has two RJ-11 ports, one port where you plug in your regular phone line that come from the wall and the other one goes out to your phone.

If you have a Voip Services Like Vonage or Lingo you can use both Vonage and Skype in the same way too. The line from you Vonage or any other Voip adapter will go into one RJ-11 port.

Making Calls
To dial as a regular phone you just use the phone as normal. Dial the out bound number as it is.

To make a SkypeOut call,
a) Dial with the Skype application interface on your PC
OR
b) Dial “##” to enter Skype mode, then the outbound number “1-888-666-1212″ and then “*” to make the call. Once you do this it switches to Skype mode and dials out using your SkypeOut account.

Receiving Calls
Taking calls is easy too, though there is nothing for you do other than picking up the phone and talk. If its a Skype call, the VOIP LED on the adapter will be lit and also your Skype will pop up on your PC screen.
