Voip.com User Reviews:
Reviewed by: Randy Sinclair On Friday, September 25, 2009 - 6:33amThis company service is not satisfactory, they never got the voice mail to work correctly, we had many dropped calls and when a call did go thru, generally we could talk, until we were cut off. In the forum you leave tech problems and hope someone can help you. They operate out of their homes so you can never speak to a supervisor. even with very high speed FIOS service, we had major problems. Currently using InTalk and PhonePower, both highly rated.
Reviewed by: Ernie On Monday, April 6, 2009 - 8:35amPros: We are going on our second year of phone service with VOIP.com. We originally had some problems with garbled and dropped calls. I believe the dropped calls could have been caused by our phone set. I switched to a DECT phone and now the call quality is great. No garble or dropped calls. We have a virtual number from another town that also works great. There was no setup fee and no monthly fee for E911. We've had only one call to customer service, for a billing issue. They handled it quickly and courteously. Cons: Call connect time is a little slow. After a number is dialed it takes about 10 seconds for the ring to start. Not a big deal, now that we are used to it. At service renewal time VOIP set our account to go to monthly billing at $19.95 per month. I had to log into the account and change it back to yearly. Bottom Line: We're staying with VOIP.com
Reviewed by: Chomp On Thursday, December 11, 2008 - 11:08amThe customer service forum for this site is filled with thousands of very frustrated customers with problems ranging from "dead air" whenever they pick up the phone to terrible billing problems. I've had all of these. Consumer complaints with the Florida BBB can be filed at http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/ComplaintInformation.aspx
Reviewed by: Tom On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 - 4:53amTruly the worse company out there they should change their name to void.com or voip.bomb they have bombed as a voip company, their reliability is void, not to mention that most of my outgoing calls are full of dead air, just a void.Customer service doesn't have a clue. Avoid voip.com like the plague, pay the difference & go to Vonage, I had them in the past(no problems ever) but moved & they didn't have my number available but now they do. I still have 6 months left on my account with void.com since I paid 1 yr in advance, but I can't take it anymore if Vonage turns out bad I'm going back to old ma bell (AT&T) hard wire. Voip.com just can't figure out how voice over internet protocal works.
