Vonage User Reviews:
Reviewed by: Al Venslovaitis On Thursday, February 14, 2008 - 9:28amI signed on for the Vonage v-phone service in November and just cancelled my Vonage service today (Feb 14). I did not have a single days' service, although I paid for two v-phones, 4 months (lack of) service and a $40.00 cancellation fee. For whatever reason, the v-phone crashes Windows on my desktop, laptop or both, depending on which of the v-phones I try. (The second one I received after complaining, only crashes the desktop.) Their customer service isn't too bad once you get to it. Unfortunately, they are misleading about how you can reach it. The material they ship out with their phones states that you can reach them for customer service via an email address; via their website and via 1-800 service. Only the phone service works; the email address directs you to the website, and I have never received a response from the website. When phoning to finally cancel my service (they won't let you do it any other way - just try), they announced a "less than 5 minute" wait. I got through after about 30 minutes, and it took another 10 minutes or so to get through the process. It may be a decent service if you can ever get it to work. I wouldn't know. After several hundred dollars and no service, I would discourage anyone from trying Vonage Canada. Not a fan.
